Daily maintenance of your Vetaphone system is a straightforward process that can be accomplished with a few simple steps. Doing so will prevent flashovers caused by material build, preventing flashovers, burns and stops from E-3 errors. For a visual demonstration, please refer to the video below. If a spare cassette is on hand, it can be installed during maintenance for continued production. Follow these steps to ensure even treatment without unnecessary breakdowns:
Step 1: Safety First
Before you begin, make sure to turn off and unplug the Vetaphone system. This is crucial to prevent any electrical hazards during the replacement process. Additionally, allow the system to cool down if it has been in operation.
Step 2: Gather Necessary Tools
You will need a few basic tools for the job, including your Vetaphone supplied treater door key, some rags or towels, isopropyl alcohol. Having these tools ready will help streamline the process.
Step 3: Access the cassette
Locate the iCorona treater. Open the cassette door with the your supplied door key, and slide out the cassette, no tools should be needed for sliding out the cassette. Place the cassette on an even surface with the electrodes facing upwards.
NOTE: If you have a spare cassette, insert that into the treater for continued production while doing maintenance.
Step 4: Clean the cassette
Wet your rag or towel with isopropyl alcohol. Clean all surfaces of the cassette. Pay attention to cleaning the isolators that holds the electrodes and the HP cable. For ceramic electrodes, make sure to clean all surfaces of the electrodes, also in the gap between the electrodes, as that could cause flashovers.
Step 5: Inspect the cassette
After cleaning look for any burn marks, melted plastics or damagede electrodes. Look for small cracks in the isolation material on electrodes and HP cable.
Step 6: Reinstallation
If all components are found in good working order. Reinstall the cassette into the treater.
